Notwithstanding our knowledge of the potentially devastating effects of asbestos inhalation, very little is being done to deal with the threat posed by these products which remain in one in every three homes in Australia. As these products age (they were last used in significant amounts in 1983), and we continue our love affair of renovations, the danger continues to increase.
