We are looking for people who worked at, or know about the Insulwool Factory on Whitehorse Road (near Blackburn Road) in Nunawading
We act for a man who worked at Insulwool in the early 1970’s and later developed a chronic and severely disabling dust disease. Important evidence in his claim will come from the memories of the people who worked at the same factory alongside him and the records of the factory itself, so what you remember will matter, even if it seems minor to you.
What we would like to know
We seek a wide range of information including:
- The changes to the products; how insulwool was made, when it stopped making insulwool, when it started manufacturing fibreglass and rockwool;
- The role of Boaral, CSR and other companies in its operations.
- Whether products other than those it manufactured were distributed from there
- How dusty the factory and site were.
- How were the buildings laid out?
- Photographs, pay records, union records, or anything else you kept.
What happens if you get in touch
You will speak with David Taylor a principal at this firm. The call would be short, would cost nothing (we are happy to call you), and would commit you to nothing. If what you remember is useful, we may ask whether you would provide a statement based on what you recall.
The case has a court date, so we would like to hear from you as soon as you can.
